Pricing
Every feature is free. Storage is the only paid thing.
No tiers, no seat limits, no feature you have to pay to unlock. The only thing that ever costs money is photo/attachment storage beyond a generous free pool — and even then, running out never deletes anything.

Every organizing feature
Unlimited boxes, bags, places, and items. Tags, warranty reminders, multi-photo attachments, label printing, the search index — all included, no upsell.
Export
Download your whole inventory as JSON or CSV any time, including after a lapse. This is a permanent trust promise, not a trial feature.
10 free photos per account
A shared ~1MB pool across every attachment type (photos, receipts, PDFs). Uploads are auto-compressed server-side to a 100KB cap each, so capture never fails — it just fits.
What costs money
Storage beyond the free pool
Sold as prepaid storage-time credits (a fixed amount of storage for a fixed number of months), drawn down as you actually use it. Never a subscription, never priced per item.
If you run out or a credit lapses
Your account goes read-only: nothing already stored is ever deleted, adding new photos pauses, and export stays free — always. Top up whenever you want, or just keep browsing, searching, and exporting.
Why storage, specifically?
Photos and file attachments are the only part of StuffOwl that costs us real, recurring money to keep around — everything else (the database rows for your boxes, the label rendering, the search) is essentially free to run at any scale. Charging for the thing that actually costs money, and giving away everything else, means the app never has a reason to nag you into a bigger plan.
